Alright Lads,

It's Tam from Alternative Nation here. Just wondering whether you guys have a list of teams we could contact for a few friendlies? The league seems to be 1 game every 6 weeks and we're wanting to play a lot more games than this (look at the league, we need the practice!!).

I tried getting onto your website but it appears to be down just now.

We've been playing a few games recently against Govan Initiative, I know they're on the lookout for more games and to join the league next season if it's on so if you want me to hook you up with contact details let me know.

All the best,
Tam

I should add, if anyone reads this and wants to play ourselves then send me an e-mail zippot1@hotmail.com

Cheers again.

Hi Tam, yeah gremlins have eaten the website for the moment.

I'll drop you a pm with a few of our contacts. Hopefully I'll have time to do it tomorrow.

Was gonna ask you for the Govan Initiative contact too, think it was the boy that played in goals for you against Pulsion that works there.

I was speaking to Simon that organises the league the other day and he's been busy at work but says he hopes to get more fixtures sorted soon.

We're gonna try and play LDS next and that'd see us having played everyone once in the league. After that, we could probably just arrange another game with yourselves and call it the 2nd league fixture between us.

Cheers.

Cool, that sounds good. I've just e-mailed my mate from Govan Initiative to get a contact for you to arrange a game.

I'll have a look at your site later and send some e-mails out - I'll PM you with my details as well to add to the Alternative Nation bit.

cheers,
Tam

A lot of contact details won't actually be on the site, so you might be as well waiting on the PM from cappo to be honest.

That way you're more likely to get a) the up to date contact details b) teams that still exist and are from the Glasgow area and c) are decent teams to play.

How'd you get on against the Govan Initiative then?

First time we played them they had a load of guys that play for teams and we were soundly beaten 2-0. The second time a lot of their best players didn't play because their own teams seasons have started and we drew 1-1 with them. We should have won the second game but in typical AN style a draw was all we could manage! Good thing for us now is that we've added a few more players and we've at last got a keeper after a year of searching.

We're playing GI again in two weeks, I'll let you know how our 3rd game goes.

Alright lads,

Just to ask if you've got that fixture list to hand yet? Even 1 or 2 names that we could contact would be appreciated. :smt001

Best of luck.
